About Me
I’m a passionate full-stack developer combining technical craftsmanship and creative vision. I
specialize in immersive web experiences, 3D visualisation (Three.js/WebGL), and bridging UI/UX
with
performant, maintainable backends.
My background as an archaeologist has shaped the way I approach technology: working in complex,
intercultural environments taught me precision, resilience, and a fascination for uncovering
hidden
structures, skills I now channel into building digital systems.
Beyond development, I’m driven by curiosity for geospatial technologies, creative coding, and
exploring how storytelling, data, and design can merge into meaningful interactive experiences.

Graduate Student Assistant (Surveyor & Developer)
University of Tübingen / Freie Universität Berlin / German
Archaeological Institute • 2012 – 2019 • West Asia & Europe
Worked on multiple international archaeological projects in West Asia (Iran, Iraq, Jordan,
Saudi Arabia) and contemporary archaeology excavations in Germany.
- Conducted field surveys, supervised excavations, and coordinated data collection in
challenging environments
- Participated in critical contemporary archaeology excavations in Berlin uncovering
the material realities of the National Socialist era (forced labor camps at
Tempelhofer Feld and investigations near the former Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for
Anthropology, Human Heredity, and Eugenics)
- Designed and managed research databases, developed custom digital tools (Python,
Django, JavaScript) for data processing and visualization
- Combined cultural heritage expertise with technical development to support
large-scale research projects
Graduate Student Assistant
Topoi Excellence Cluster • Dec 2016 – Dec 2018 • Berlin, Germany

Education & Certifications
Freie Universität Berlin / History and Cultures of Ancient Western
Asia: Focus on Archaeology of Ancient Western Asia
2017-2021 (incomplete)
Extensive focus on the intersection of archaeology, politics, and sociology.
- Theoretical Approaches: Theories of Subjectivation, Power Dynamics,
Post-Colonialism, Orientalism, and Feminism.
- Socio-Political Archaeology: Social Inequality in Early Complex
Societies, Imperialism, and the Problems of Ideology.
- Contemporary Context: The Political Dimension of Archaeology Today.
Freie Universität Berlin / Studies in Ancient Civilisations
(Concentration: Ancient Near Eastern Archaeology)
2015
Foundational studies in Ancient Western Asian Archaeology, material culture, and field
methods.
Bachelor Thesis ("Open Access und Open Data in der Archäologie"):
Explored the application of Semantic Web technologies (Linked Open Data, JSON-LD, RDF) to
archaeological research. Developed a conceptual WebGIS for the contemporary archaeology
excavations of National Socialist forced labor camps at the Tempelhofer Feld. This work was
subsequently cited in Reinhard Bernbeck's publication "Materielle Spuren des
nationalsozialistischen Terrors: Zu einer Archäologie der Zeitgeschichte".
Interests & Side Projects
Aside from professional work, I enjoy building experimental 3D visualizations, exploring
geospatial
data, contributing to open-source, and continually learning new interactive web technologies.
Personal Research & Reading: Deeply interested in Theories of Power
(Machttheorien), as well as the history, culture, and geopolitics of Kurdistan.
